About Evatech
- Evatech is a husband and wife team that combines the technical skills and experience of Bruce with the secretarial backup support of Jane
- Established in 1997
- Evatech’s services are utilised by major chemical companies and smaller business operators who store, retail and distribute chemicals.
The Directors:
Bruce Evans:
Bruce has had 40 years experience in the chemical, agrichemical and fertiliser industries. He gained his initial technical expertise from the Ministry of Agriculture as a Technician applying new coded research chemicals.
He continued to develop these technical skills as part of the Research and Development teams of multinational chemical companies. Spending many years developing regulatory submissions and applications to government agencies such as MAF, ACVM and ERMA.
He gained valuable market experience selling chemicals and fertiliser to farmers and industry with Hodder and Tolley Ltd, Monsanto, Olin Corporation, Ammo-Phos Fertiliser and East Coast Fertiliser prior to the formation of Ravensdown.
Experience in the Animal Health sector was gained from 10 years with ICI Tasman then Horticultural expertise with CropCare and Zeneca.
Zeneca now part of Syngenta provided Bruce several years experience in developing safety and hazard management auditing skills. This training included a number overseas training and auditing courses which have been expanded upon since with trips to International Chemical Conferences and forums.
Bruce has worked with ERMA as a consultant and is involved with industry associations; Agcarm, NZCIC,
NZ Institute of Hazardous Substances Management [NZIHSM] and Growsafe®. Currently serving on the Executive of Agcarm Incorporated.
Bruce is a Registered Assessor for Tranzqual-ITO and a ERMA Test Certifier.
Jane Evans:
Jane has many years of life skills in nursing and volunteer support agency work. She handles the phone and filing systems leaving Bruce to focus on the core business and free up time for face to face customer contact.
